    Hi Ian
I have played cricket for 50 years so I am afraid it is now too late to change the habits of a lifetime. One more season then I will just umpire games. However your tips will benefit young players relatively new to playing cricket and improve the game of players not so old as me.
    ps Any tips on umpiring?

Hi Ian, its absolutely great. Whenever i need some tips directly i’ll come to ur website and find some useful article. Hope this continues in future to guide me. I need to how to play a lofted shot when they bowl yorker and bouncer in crictical situation of match.

  36. Rex says:

    Ian,
Your articles are really great. It gives good insight on things we don’t think about. I read all your articles. I play in a cricket league in Houston, Tx. I captain the side and I keep wickets.

It is said that the captain needs to lead from the front, how can he concentrate more on his game and not get distracted by other things going on on the field. I really do not want captaincy to effect my batting/ keeping.
    Thanks
    Rex
