From: Ian Canaway

This came as a real shock for everyone, but the sudden death of cricket coach Bob Woolmer (who had been working with Pakistan) was totally unexpected. He was only 58. Tributes have been pouring out from the coaches, players and fans, you can read some of them here:
Many people included myself saw Woolmer as a potential predecessor to Fletcher if he decided to go, but I guess it was never to be…
Woolmer was undoubtedly a very influential coach who has helped further the progress of cricket and raise standards of the game. My condolences go out to his family and friends, he will be missed by many.
Ian
